Good and Bad

Well, the bad/good news is that my summer semester class starts tonight. It is good that I am taking it now so that I can matriculate before the new class requirements are added. But really who wants to spend any of their summer break studying Business Stats?

The other side of this situation is that we are leaving for Wyoming tonight after class... that's right it is a marathon day for me work 8-5, class 5:30-8, leave around 8:30pm and drive to Rawlins... hopefully staying awake the whole time and making it there around midnight... So that isn't so much fun, but I get to see my family!, and we are going to Mt Rushmore on Sat and that is going to be fun!

Dance Recital

My adorable nieces were in their first dance recital tonight! They were totally amazing! They were so excited. Annie (below) was twirling and jumping around even before the performance started ;)

Their costumes were fantastic! I am amazed at the detail of the costumes.



















This video was so amazing. They were doing a breakdancing number and Annie was just getting so into it. I only caught the last bit of her cuteness!

Babysitting Adventures

This is Mikey. He belongs to our good friends Emily and Scott. They are looking forward to baby number 2 in the next few weeks, so we let them have a break for Scott's birthday. They went out for dinner while we played.

Mikey wouldn't let me feed him at first so I just handed him a bowl and a spoon and let him rip! (After strategically covering the floor with towels.) He did pretty good, only minimal amounts of food ended up on the floor.

We decided that he looked a little bit like the baby boy from Tarzan in this last picture. He is such a cutie!!! He was the happiest baby and ran around like the energizer bunny all night... Jason got quite the workout!

Good Friends Good Food and Good Fun

Sunday nights at our house generally consist of munching on leftovers, and watching a movie. (We are so productive!) Yesterday however was a total change of pace! Just as Relief Society my 'old' visiting teacher grabbed my arm and told me that we should come barbecue with them that evening. I said ok!

So I figured out all the details and offered to bring pasta salad as my contribution. We went over to our friends house and it was chaos, delightful chaos at that... We had some awesome food, and it was just a ton of fun to get to know people outside of church. After a while we got to talking about movies and decided to come back to our place and watch "Flight of the Navigator". Talk about a blast from the past!

It was so nice to just hang out and do something different! Yay for good friends good food and good fun!
